Are you a recent graduate looking to kick-start your career in Mining Industry?WesTrac is seeking a motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team!Reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager/Product Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting certified, safe, and legally compliant Engineered Designs, located at our Parts Distribution Centre in South Guildford, WA.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop certified, safe, and legally compliant Engineered Designs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse Engineering Work Requests and consult with stakeholders to create designs meeting technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct compliance, safety, and risk assessments to ensure the integrity of our designs.
  • Produce 3D models of modifications to CAT machinery using Inventor CAD software.
  • Work with Electrical Engineers in developing the design documentation.
  • Create design verification plans, test procedures, and reports.
  • Provide Engineering support to various facets of WesTrac's business operations.
  • Maintain and organise Engineering records in accordance with WesTrac quality systems.
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Comprehensive, theory-based understanding of engineering fundamentals
  • Advanced computer literacy skills
  • Sound time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Demonstrated consultation, negotiation, and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ethical conduct and professional accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of mobile plant
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Auto Cad Electrical experience
