Our client is a market leader in the cooling solutions and environmental chamber markets across Mining, Defence and Industrial Manufacturing markets. Due to significant growth we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to drive the engineering process for bespoke engineered solutions. You will be working on Industrial cooling systems used to cool equipment or large scale industrial and mining spaces, portable cool rooms for defence, atmospheric chamber systems.
We will have the following Qualifications/ Experience:
- tertiary qualified Electrical Engineer.
- good all-round experience in use of SolidWorks Electrical
- Excellent with AutoCAD Electrical
- Design of Wiring Schematics and Diagrams including 2D layouts and cable sizing
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration is an advantage
- Ideally knowledge and use of PLC programming
- Knowledge of all codes and standards related to Electronic engineering including Design Standard related calculations
- Between 5 to10 years experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of Solar design
- Excellent IT savviness is a preferred bonus
Core Responsibilities will include but limited to:
- Perform design selections for electrical components.
- Produce electrical diagrams for equipment.
- Occasional PLC Programming
- Liaise with Engineering Team.
- Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
- Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
- Use computer-assisted engineering software (Solid Works Electrical) to perform engineering tasks (i.e. wiring diagrams)
- Support manufacturing department with product development and testing (FAT & SAT’s)
- Provide quality assurance for electrical projects.
- Stay up to date / current with required electrical and safety standards.
- Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential Electrical Engineering projects and studies.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
