UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey.With a significant pipeline of opportunities identified across the Transport and Technology sectors, UGL are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer - Electrical working in the major projects space based in Melbourne:This role will perform Engineering function for projects and is accountable to the Project Manager – Surface.It is responsible for managing the timely delivery of the construction, and commissioning documentation as related to projects. The Project engineer will participate in training and development opportunities, performance development initiatives and feedback sessions as well support and work along site their nominated buddy.About the role
- Achieve engineering targets and objectives as defined in the project program;
- Provide input and be responsible to produce Project Documentation.
- Actively participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skills, capabilities, and performance
- Display a positive approach to safety and proactively demonstrate UGL’s values
- Comply with all UGL systems and processes and expected behaviors and standards
- Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and leadership skills.
- Participate in design review meetings and close out design issues in a timely manner;
- Create a team culture that fosters high performance and personal improvement mindset;
- Completing 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in electrical engineering (or equivalent industry experience in the absence of a degree);
- 3-5 years’ experience in large infrastructure environments
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and priorities demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, and email.
- Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
