As an Electrical Engineer - Gas and Battery Storage in the Integrated Energy Team, you'll be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution. Your responsibilities include Electrical Engineering support, provision of asset management and reliability analysis. You will be identifying and effectively managing asset risks and regulatory requirements, ensuring performance across AGL's operational renewable assets, particularly gas flexible generation and battery storage sites.
This role will include compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations and the upkeep of asset plans to maximise asset performance of over asset life cycles. What you'll be doing:
Developing asset management strategies and outcomes aligned to business requirements in accordance with ISO 55000.
Ensuring compliance with AGL Asset Management Standards and systems are proactively maintained and relevant industry standards applied for wind, solar, storage and gas turbine assets.
Supporting and leading asset related investigations including formal Root Cause Analysis investigations and acting as a point of reference and technical support for managing changes in assets.
Maintaining effective working relationships with Regulatory Agencies by responding in a timely manner to issues with the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are communicated and adhered to while meeting AGL's policies and standards for HSE management.
What you'll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering coupled with energy experience and an understanding of commercial scale renewable energy generation including CPEng status or eligibility to be chartered, and able to register for the National Engineering Register.
Experience in asset management principals and technical experience with generation assets (preferably renewables) is highly desirable.
Understanding of asset management principles and energy industry experience will be highly regarded.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills, analytical skills and use of software tools to provide analysis.
Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills that can be used across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
