About the role
As the Electrical Fitter - Mechanic, you will report directly to the Regional Workshop Manager and be part of a great team. The role will be based in Rocklea (Brisbane) with occasional travel required within South East Queensland for alternate branch visits, site visits, training, repairs and maintenance or other work-related activities.
Working in the general equipment hire industry, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and standards
- Diagnose, service, and electrically repair a wide range of equipment, ensuring they meet our high standards of performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner
- Perform routine inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate installations and repairs efficiently
- Perform site visits as required for equipment and maintenance and repair
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair histories
- Support the elimination or mitigation of all electrical risks and hazards
- Provide recommendations to management on electrical fleet performance and trends
- Contribute to a fun, productive, clean and safe working environment
About you
The ideal candidate will share our values and possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Valid Australian Work Rights
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Relevant Trade Certificate/s e.g. Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a Current Electrical Licence
- Experience as an Electrician or Electrical Fitter
- An enthusiastic and positive individual with a genuine interest in electrical safety, machinery and technology
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to safety, quality and compliance in all aspects of your work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, software and technology
