About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will join our maintenance team and play a large role in the electrical installation in our pecan processing factory. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and ensuring other facets of industrial machinery are operating to manufacturing specifications and in sound working order.
The duties include:
- Maintain and repair plant and processing equipment
- Breakdown maintenance
- Detect problems by performing basic diagnostic testing on equipment
- Test malfunctioning machinery and plant to determine whether major repairs are needed and make recommendations as necessary
- Manage and adhere to the programmed maintenance schedule
- Record all maintenance activities
- Be constantly considering WHS measures and reporting any hazards
Essential Key Requirements:
- Trade qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic
- Previous maintenance experience
- Good communication skills
- Experience diagnosing faults and resolving/recommending solutions
- The ability to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas
- Focus on safety and quality
- Ability to work in a team environment
Desirable:
- Experience working in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment
- PLC fault finding
- Experience using SCADA/HMI
- Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) such as MEX or similar
- Instrumentation experience
- Forklift Licence
- Drivers Licence
