Our clients is looking for an Electrical Fitter to join the team - based in Keswick - this role is an immediate start for the right candidate
Full time permanent opportunity, working on maintaining some of the most popular, well known trains throughout Aus.
This role will be part of a rotating shift roster working Days - 7:00 am-3.06pm and Afternoons: 12 noon to 9:00pm and some weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trade-related tasks such as component overhaul and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Conduct servicing, fault finding, and troubleshooting tasks, ensuring completion within designated scheduling deadlines.
- Manage material/component requisitions and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Perform preventative services, unscheduled repairs, and inspections within the realm of trade knowledge and task training.
- Interpret and analyse drawings, specifications, and determine optimal manufacturing methods and standards.
- Actively participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
- Report any relevant work issues to area supervision and management.
- Maintain a steadfast commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
About You:
- Possess a valid Australian Electrical Fitter trade certificate.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and comprehending plans, diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledgeable about manufacturing and component overhaul processes and practices.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to cultivate productive working relationships.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience within the Rail Industry is advantageous.
