We are a proven and established team in the Gold Coast Region, and we are currently focused on building upon the successful foundations of the core team with a view to providing long-term employment and career progression to the successful applicant/s.
We are seeking an experienced, professional, motivated and reliable Foreperson/s and Leading Hand/s to join our project team to provide leadership and project supervision for projects located in the Gold Coast Region and surrounding areas. We currently have multiple, high-profile projects around this region, which will require the successful candidate/s to assist in the completion of these.
The right candidate will be provided with an attractive hourly rate which will be discussed at the time of the full-time employment offer. Reporting directly to the Project Manager / Supervisor, the following sets out the main objectives of this Foreperson / Leading Hand positions:
- Possess a positive and proactive approach to getting the job done
- Develop intimate knowledge of the project scope and how it will be built and identify any variations to scope onsite
- Achieve complete satisfaction of client requirements and expectations at site level
- Ensure maximum productivity and profitable return for the company through sound planning and control on site
- Understand and drive productivity budgets and estimate time to complete outstanding tasks
- Demonstrate effective leadership of all site personnel – direct and control employees, labour hire and subcontractors on site
- Promote the company with a view to build future business relationships with the client
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with WHS&E legislative requirements and company quality procedures
- Excellent technical ability both on the job and to utilise digital platforms in relation to company processes
- A professional attitude and high standard of communication when liaising with clients
- Ability to interpret plans and project documentation
- Promote positivity amongst the workforce, and nurture an environment with high morale
- Lead by example in terms of productivity and quality of work
- Ability to forecast material and labour requirements in conjunction with the Project Supervisor
- Attendance at site subcontractor meetings and direct communication with our Clients and other contracting trades
To be successful you will require:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Current drivers licence
- General Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
- Current CPR/LV Rescue
- Electrical license
- Open ACA Cabling License (preferred)
- EWP License (preferred)
- Effective communication skills
- Sound knowledge of AS3000 and AS3012
