Electrical Inspector

Randstad are proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government.
We have an immediate need for an OO7 Electrical Inspector based in the Caboolture Office. This will initially be a contract role with strong opportunities to extend and to apply internally once the probation period has been met.
Key duties:

• Carry out inspections of electrical installations to validate compliance with AS/NZS Standards.
• Document works and keep records in accordance with company policy.
• Carry out safety audits to validate that electrical contractors are following their SWMS.
• Specifications, and standard of workmanship.
• Be responsible for managing incoming repairs and condition reports for Air Condition systems within schools across SEQ.
• Liaise with clients and contractors in relation to completion of projects.
• Work in a team communicating with contractors, schools and Senior supervisors on project status
• Investigate technical issues and provide written technical reports.
• May be required to carry out inspections on switchboards, sub-circuits in schools

The successful candidate will:

• Be trained in asbestos-related work practices, and provide evidence of this on request
• Possess a thorough understanding of AS/NZS 3000, the Electrical Safety Act, and Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Hold a current QLD driver’s license.
• Must hold a current QLD Electrical Workers License
• Must be able to pass a criminal history check AND hold a Blue Card
• Possess current working rights in Australia (this will be verified before your application can progress)

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
