We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Inspector at our Picton Depot, on a permanent full-time basis.
About this role
As the Electrical Inspector in our Southern Region, you will be designated by the Director of EnergySafety, this position is required to undertake complex inspection, investigation, and auditing activities, through utilising extensive technical and electrical knowledge and skills, to ensure the safety of consumer installations connected to the network, in compliance with Western Power's Inspection System Plan and regulatory obligations.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Current Electrical Workers License - essential
- Eligibility to be designated as an Inspector (Electrical)
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations (must be completed within 12 months of commencing position)
- Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945 (must be obtained within 12 months of commencing position)
- National Police Certificate
- Possess Cert III (ESI Distribution / Transmission Overhead / Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing) and/or Electrical Trade Certificate and hold a current WA Electrical Workers License.
- Min 6 to 8 year's demonstrated post-trade experience within the electrical industry, specifically in domestic, light & heavy industrial and commercial work.
- Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 2006.
- Detailed working knowledge of AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements
- Excellent external stakeholder management skills and experience
- Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations, and procedures
- Competent in the utilisation of MS Office Suite and scheduling/work management systems
