Programmed Skilled Workforce Partnering with our client Tronox who is a a Global Leader in Titanium Dioxide manufacturing. are seeking to fill an Electrical and Instrumental Technician Role .
This role is based at the Chemical Refinaery at Kemerton. The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is accountable for planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance activities.
This role is 38 hour average week with a compressed 9 day fortnight option (every second Friday off), 6 am to 3pm.
Successful Applicants will possess
A WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence
A Certificate IV Instrumentation
Familiarity with relevant Australian Electrical Standards and wiring regulations.
Ability to Pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is responsible for:
Conducting maintenance activities, inspection testing and calibration for fixed plant equipment and instrumentation in accordance with Company procedures and operating instructions..
The minimisation of downtime through accurate fault finding, investigating and determining repair actions.
Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument and electrical equipment in accordance with standards.
Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required.
The isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance purposes.
Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process and cost reduction.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.
The following would also be advantageous:
Previous experience gained within a complex fixed plant processing environment such as a smelter, chemical plant or refinery.
An HV Switching Certification
Industrial Gas Maintenance Certification
A Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Nationally Accredited Forklift Licence
