We have opportunities at both Cape Lambert & Dampier for Electrical Maintainers (Utilities) to join our utilities teams. The Utilities team manages power distribution within the local township and supply’s power to CLA and CLA Port Operations. Working on an 8/6 D/S only roster, this role is offered as residential based in Wickham / Dampier region Western Australia, FIFO from Perth will also be considered for the right applicant.

You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work roster 8 days on 6 days off, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, you will:

  • Safely carry out electrical inspections, scheduled and breakdown maintenance to Utilities electrical assets
  • Service and maintain electrical transmission and distribution networks (220/132/33/11kV) 
  • Support after hours breakdown response
  • Ensuring that maintenance is of a high quality and re-work is not required.
  • Use SAP to raise notifications, complete time confirmations and enter reliability and maintenance activity information. 

 What you’ll bring  

  • Understanding of RTIO safety systems and demonstrated strong health & safety performance. 
  • Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence 
  • Background in HV network electrical maintenance 
  • High Voltage switching qualification and experience working in high voltage network switching and operations (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation (desirable)
  • High Risk Work Licence, CV, RB, LF, DG, WP (desirable)
