ABOUT IMC
Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) produces premium-quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position based at the Appin mine which is, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
As the Surface Electrical Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring routine and non-routine Surface maintenance activities are appropriately planned, resourced and scheduled so that work can be executed in a safe and effective manner.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Site inspections with Coordinators, Supervisors & Trades to determine the best methodology for work execution
- Organisation of suitable resourcing and procurement of materials and spare parts
- Consolidate Area Maintenance work orders into one approved Area Maintenance Schedule by working with department stakeholders and contract partners
- Support root cause analysis, master data improvements & spares management work
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Prior experienced in a similar role within Mining or Heavy Industry
- Experience with winders, hydraulics, materials handling, gas extraction plants and/or HV maintenance will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling, and management of maintenance strategies.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and be decisive under pressure
Qualifications for this position are:
- Trade Certificate, Associate Diploma or Degree in a relevant Electrical Engineering or Maintenance field
- Valid C Class Drivers Licence
