Electrical Planner

CSA Mine is currently searching for an Electrical Planner to join our team. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country. 

Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of electrical maintenance activities for electrical departments on the surface and underground.

The objective of this role is to provide a weekly and monthly electrical maintenance plan to ensure minimal downtime and is compliant with site standards, industry regulations and statutory requirements.

About the Role:

• Use of SAP to manage the electrical maintenance of all surface assets, and track work order completion
• Monitor the status of asset performance
• Update the service sheets to ensure they are relevant to all requirements and standards
• Development of future scheduling and ensure timely completion of electrical maintenance activities
• Identify areas for improvement in electrical maintenance strategies 
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Provide updates on the status of equipment and other issues for potential risk
• Onboard and manage external contractors
• Ensure all spare and parts are available for upcoming works

The successful applicant will have:

• Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Strong use of MS Office Suite
• Working knowledge of CMMS Systems
• Good reporting and accounting ability
• Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and scheduling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High level attention to detail

About you:

Ideally you will have trade & maintenance scheduling experience, desirably in the electrical industry. This role would suit someone from a trades-background who is looking to move away from being on the tools full-time, and move into a scheduling position.

Conditions: 

This is a residential position and is offered on 5/2, 4/3 roster. 12 weeks of free transit accommodation and paid relocation assistance is provided to assist the successful applicant to source their own accommodation locally. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependents.

Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
