We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to assist with the next stage of our growth. The administrative aspect of the role can be performed in a ‘work from home’ environment but will also involve travelling to visit clients and our electricians on-site at their jobs.
Ideally based in Inner Sydney, centrally located to accommodate reduced travel to job sites, you may have Electrical trade qualifications and a solid background working on the tools. Whilst this may be advantageous however, it is not essential as long as you can demonstrate a solid understanding in a trade-based business and an ability to learn.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be a good communicator, working proactively with clients, our electricians, subcontractors as well as the scheduling and finance team. You will work well under pressure, being able to deal with issues as they arrive taking full responsibility for outcomes. You will have a good understanding of the budget requirements of jobs, being able to direct a team of electricians to complete projects within budgeted hours.
Your client service skills will be well honed, and you will feel at home discussing Electrical Projects with junior and senior executives in the organisation’s we service. You will have a genuine caring attitude towards our clients and strive to deliver a service that exceeds their expectations.
Reporting to the Director of the business, you’ll have a varied and interesting role, this will include:
- Project Management – Maintain project timelines, oversee works, OH&S and project documentation.
- Client Management – maintain regular contact with clients, discuss upcoming works and provide regular updates on live projects.
- Job Analysis – review profitability of jobs, prepare monthly performance reports.
- Business Improvement – work on various projects to improve the overall success of the business.

- A young and vibrant team of electricians, many of whom have been with the business for 5+ years as well as a small support team.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Project management skills and sound commercial acumen
- An ability to think outside the box to solve issues as they arise.
- Strong experience in managing public works relations.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of interpreting contracts.
- An ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail in understanding plans/scopes.
- A proactive approach and a desire to take full responsibility for outcomes.
- A customer service mindset that aims to exceed client’s expectations.
- Ability to put pricing together and understand submitting tenders.
- A sound understanding of people and how to get the best out of them, with a proven track record of managing different personality types to achieve a common goal.
- Intermediate-strong IT skills, as we utilize the SimPRO job management system.
