Our Opportunity

Work Location: Solomon mine. Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.

Roster: 8 days/6 off - FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to: Senior Mechanical Planner

As an Electrical Shutdown Planner, you will play a crucial role in implementing key work management KPIs for our shutdown execution teams. Your expertise in electrical maintenance within a shutdown environment will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement key work management KPIs for the shutdown execution teams.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather information on equipment history, reliability, and maintenance requirements.
  • Initiate maintenance strategies in SAP in coordination with long-term and weekly planners.
  • Prioritize safety protocols in all shutdown plans, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with up-stream and external suppliers to meet requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and reduce costs.
  • Provide input to maintenance budgeting requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have the following attributes

  • A grade electrical license
  • CMMS experience working with SAP
  • Working experience in a shutdown environment focusing on electrical maintenance
  • Proficient computer skills using MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Alignment with Fortescue values
