About the Role
SCEE Electrical are looking for experienced Electrical Superintendents to join our team on the CBESS project in Collie on a 10/4 DIDO roster. As an Electrical Superintendent with us you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing the work scope and crews, as well as being responsible and for the completion electrical works and the health and safety of all persons within their team.
In addition, some of your key tasks will include;
- Manage the works and coordinate and control construction related activities in order to achieve the project budget, time and quality objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, events and delays.
- Monitor and audit quality of work, procedures, installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance.
- Actively promote and adhere to all SCEE HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe workplace at all times for yourself and your colleagues.
- Participate in site pre start meetings and tool box talks as required.
- Ensure Project Works are completed safely and in compliance with all relevant standards, SCEE documentation, Client and Project policies and procedures.
- Comply and support company Quality Management systems, processes and procedures. Participate in audits, both internal and external as required.
- Ensure the works are completed in compliance with SCEE, Client and Project Quality policies and procedures.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Superintendent within the heavy construction industry and hold your WA electrical licence. You will have well developed leadership skills as well as strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- A strong understanding and awareness of Australian Standards, project implementation, constructability, WHS and environmental and community issues.
- A high level of commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Strong organisational skills and well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
- Be able to read and interpret technical diagrams, drawings and specifications, prepare reports
- Be able to direct and coordinate a range of people to meet project objectives
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
- You must hold a white Card and valid driver’s licence
