THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive and organised Electrical Superintendent to join our Weipa division. The position will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and providing leadership of our electrical and refrigeration team. The successful candidate will be an advocate for the business both within the organisation and externally. This will require a strong commitment to meeting client expectations, as well as positive and productive relationship management skills and a continual improvement mindset.
Additionally, the position has oversight of quality assurance and compliance, ensuring systems of work and output comply with company, client policies and procedures and legislative requirements are met.
You will be supported by an experienced engineering and supervision team on a day to day basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade certificate
- QLD Electrical Licence
- LVR CPR
- Construction Induction Card (Mandatory)
- Rio Tinto Inducted (Advantage)
- Supervisor Training (Advantage)
ABOUT YOU
- Ability to collaborate with team members and supervise to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in related field
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices within mining /domestic environments
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and adapt
