Join Frost Engineers as we grow our Electrical Engineering department to better service the Gladstone region.  Frost Engineers have been operating in Gladstone since 2008, supporting local industry with civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering designs that are client focused, socially and environmentally conscious.  Our reputation as a preferred provider of technical, project and operational support services to several large clients in the Gladstone region has seen an uptake in Electrical Engineering projects.  We are well positioned to add an Electrical Engineering Superintendent to the team to grow our skill pool and work force. 

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a People Leader and technically proficient Electrical Engineer to join Frost Engineers on a full time, permanent basis as an Electrical Engineering Superintendent.  This role will give you a balance of both leadership and technical design projects as you both grow and lead a small team of Electrical Engineers while completing electrical designs for a range of heavy industrial clients in and around the Gladstone region.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and build a strong relationship through scoping, quoting, and completing quality designs
• Supervise contract engineers and work together to deliver quality designs on time and on budget
• Grow Frost Engineers electrical team as workload increases
• Develop strong relationships with your colleagues working as a team through multidisciplinary design  

Qualities, Qualifications, and Experience Desired 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution, accredited by Engineers Australia
• Eager to learn and grow as a team
• Be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
• Have experience or a keen interest in the management of people 
• Have experience managing multiple projects at a time ensuring quality, timeline, budget, and client relations are met
• Current RPEQ Registration advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with PowerCad and PTW or similar electrical installation design software advantageous
• Experience within heavy industry advantageous 
• Low voltage Design to AS3000, AS3008, AS61439 advantageous
• LV MCC Design experience advantageous
• Controls Design and Communications Design experience advantageous
