About the role
With this role you will be working within a team that have combined experience within the company of 50 years. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from all levels and progress in your management journey. Work with your Key Account Manager to manage your own team and series of clients in both commercial and corporate environments.
This role has a strong focus on day-to-day management of a team of electricians and apprentices who may work for you on your client portfolio as well as client liaison & development, and supplier & subcontractor cooperation. Operational and financial management of projects and preventative maintenance service contracts is integral as is reviewing completed works and compiling maintenance reports and processing for invoicing. You will ensure compliance with company policies, safe work practices and statutory requirements and manage and comply with HSE requirements and incident reporting. By reviewing the operating system and managing assigned jobs and contracts you will ensure client preventative maintenance obligations are met as well as assisting with the coordination & management of company resources to maximise efficiencies. You will assess completed and ongoing works for quality and compliance, monitor and forecast and procure materials and sub-contractor services as required.
To be successful in this role it is essential to;
• Be enthusiastic, motivated, organised & proactive
• Have proven leadership and management experience
• Be able to demonstrate a positive approach to & a comprehensive understanding of HSE management & obligations
• Have excellent English verbal & written communication skills
• Possess a current West Australian Electrical Worker’s Licence
• Possess current Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Registration
• Have a minimum of 10 years post apprenticeship experience within the electrical trade
• Have considerable experience within the WA commercial & light industrial fields
• Possess a valid WA driver’s licence – with C class endorsement as a minimum
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer programs
• Be a permanent Australian resident and reside in the Perth metropolitan area
• Demonstrate commercial awareness of contractual obligations
• Have a proven ability to operationally & financially manage projects and maintenance contracts
• Have a good understanding of apprentice supervision requirements
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of checking and testing requirements, AS/NZS 3000:2018 Wiring Rules and West Australian Electrical Requirements
