iNTERCOM, an Australian company based in Perth, specializes in providing services and solutions for filtration and digital transformation to our valued customers. Currently, we are seeking a full-time Electrical Support Engineer to join our team and oversee the technical aspects of communication between BLE sensors, gateways, and cloud databases, working closely with our team in Brazil.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vibration analysis, electric components, and rotating machinery. Key responsibilities will include providing guidance, on-site training sessions for existing and new customers, and collaborating with a team in Brazil to address technical issues promptly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical problem debugging and collaborate with a team in Brazil to resolve customer inquiries promptly.
- Evaluate resources used in the supply of electrical components, machinery, and equipment.
- Deliver on-site training sessions for customers across Australia.
- Provide guidance to customers on sensor placement for various assets covered by wireless online solutions.
- Coordinate delivery and installation schedules as required.
- Manage projects with customers related to Dashboard development, integration with other software, and product design. (Osisoft PI Vision, Oracle, SAP, SCADA, etc.)
- Assess operational and maintenance needs in industrial plants, power stations, and distribution systems.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform tools to identify and address inconsistencies with on-site instruments.
- Develop data analysis tools to enhance customer experience and simplify product installation processes.
- Conduct on-site surveys and provide guidance for electrical instrument servicing, maintenance, and repair.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance, condition monitoring, or reliability processes.
- Proficiency in electric components, maintenance equipment, and Google Cloud Platform tools.
- Experience with wireless vibration sensors and ISO V CAT I certification.
- Understanding of software integration methods and rotating machinery components.
- Knowledge of signal processing techniques and network protocols.
- Ability to manage projects and effectively communicate customers' requirements to a team in Brazil.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (SDK, Logs, Analytics, etc.).
- Understanding of integration methods between softwares, considering GCP Bucket and open/on-demand APIs. Common softwares that we usually work with are Osisoft PI Vision, Oracle, SAP, SCADA and Honeywell PHD.
- Solid knowledge in rotating machinery (parts, subsystems, components) such as motors, gearboxes, fans, blowers, turbo compressors, turbines, reclaimers, vibrating screens, feeders, chutes, conveyor belts.
- Projects or work-related experience with signal processing (averaging, FFT, power spectrums, bode plot, phase analysis and its derivatives).
- Knowledge in Ethernet, Wi-Fi (Dynamic and Static IPs, WPA-Enterprise, WPA-PSK) and LTE (CAT-M1, NB-IoT, 4G+) networks.
DIFFERENTIALS
- Advanced/fluent communication skills in Portuguese.
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques applied to rotating machinery (SVM, Deep Learning, Ensemble methods, Cross-phase classifiers, etc.).
- Familiarity with route-based maintenance, gateway communication protocols, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge in gateway communication protocols, such as MQTT, IoTCore, BLE, Modbus or ProfiBus.
- Apache Kafka and microservices architecture code developing, including versioning and git.
