Select Switchboards are currently seeking experienced Electrical Switchboard Estimators, Engineers and/or Draftspersons. The ideal candidate must have experience in electrical estimation, design and AutoCAD drafting software systems. Switchboard design experience is essential.

The Role
Your role is customer facing and includes interpreting customer documentation and drawings to quote and develop designs for custom-built switchboards. You will be required to assist our existing team in the production of panel drawings, schematics, single line diagrams and technical information dossiers as required by the project. Your designs will be used by our inhouse manufacturing team for the construction of switchboards.
A generous salary will be offered to the successful candidates if you prove to meet the criteria required, have high attention to detail, the ability to work individually or as a team, be self-motivated and eager to learn.
If are located interstate, but willing to move to Darwin, we are open to negotiating relocation assistance.
Working hours:
Full-time position.
Monday to Friday
Occasional overtime as required
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Quoting and estimation experience is essential
- AutoCAD experience is essential
- Ability to design and draft low voltage switchboard assemblies
- General understanding of electrical parts, equipment and suppliers
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to interpret customer requirements, drawings and specifications
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to clearly communicate with other staff and customers
- Have high level problem solving ability
- Must have rights to work in Australia.
Desirable Competencies:
- Engineering, drafting or electrical trade qualifications desired
- Driver’s License
