Ellett Contracting have been successfully supplying construction and agricultural services to Perth Metropolitan and regional WA. Ellett Contracting is looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their projects team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Install , assemble test and Maintain electrical systems and equipments.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues
• Resolve issues and repair electrical systems to ensure they work properly.
• Be able to read, interpret and follow a design plan to construct electrical
devices.
• Ensure effective parts management and supervise project improvement
• Applying preventative measures.
• Carrying out overhauls to ensure best practices within the plant
• Work closely with architects , contractor and engineers.
• Meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
IMS• Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Actively involved and leading by example Ellett Contracting approach to managing
operations safely;
• Understanding Ellett Contracting’s suite of IMS documentation to ensure correct
implementation and continual improvement of system
• Ensure materials and equipment purchased or supplied are assessed from a Quality,
Health, safety and environment perspective.
• Support staff to work in a safe manner always and immediately report and record all
incidents, hazards or near misses to a manager. Facilitate maintenance and other
hazard rectifications.
• Ensure pre-start checks are completed correctly and facilitate appropriate reporting,
record keeping and maintenance is scheduled as required.
• Promote participation in HSEQ discussions at pre-start and toolbox meetings, ensure
these items are completed in line with IMS Schedule;
• Promote active participation in JSEA and Risk Assessment by all members of staff;
• Ensure fitness for work and comply with Ellett Contracting Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Promote fitness for work and make allowances to ensure compliance by all members or staff.
Promote co-operation at all times with site management in ensuring compliance with
Ellett Contracting IMS procedures and relevant legislation;
• Ensure that members of staff do not work outside areas of competency and JSEA
procedures;
• Be aware of and promote the implementation method steps to resolve safety issues;
• Actively participate in and facilitate IMS observations;
• Complete all training requested to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner.
Facilitate training for members of staff;
• Adhere to Safe Work Instructions and IMS information provided by management and
supervisors
• Ensure all tickets and licences are valid and up to date at all times
Qualifications
Essential
• White Card
• MR Class Drivers Licence
• MSMPER300 – Issue Work Permits
• HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid
• HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
Desirable
• RIIWHS202D – Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
• HR Class Drivers Licence
• Trade certification in relevant field
Competencies, Skills and Experience
• At least five 2 years’ experience;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment;
• Strong perception and implementation of HSEQ;
• Ability to be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with inherent load functions of the
trade;
