We’re looking for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, Linesperson or Live Lines Linesperson to join our travelling team located in Bundaberg.
You must be prepared to work away from home as regular travel throughout Western and Central Queensland is required to support the delivery of the Lines Construction and Maintenance Program of Work. This position does not offer fly in and fly out, or drive in drive out. You will be required to reside in the location.
Appointment will be on a 9-day fortnight; however, applicants must be prepared to work on a 11/3 fortnightly roster and work a reasonable amount of overtime as required.

Remuneration:
- Linesperson from $97,006 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
- Electrical Fitter Mechanic from $101,800 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
- Live Line Linesperson from $106,607 per annum + 12.75% superannuation

As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
- Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
- Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
