About the role:
Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson (Maintainer Electrical) to join our Hexham maintenance depot to work its Locomotives fleet that supports the Hunter Valley operations within a well organised and thriving workshop. Working a roster of day/afternoon/night - 24/7 operations, you will get the unique experience to work on our locomotive fleet and have great work / life balance.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
- Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
- Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service
- Conduct provisioning of rollingstock
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with WH&S requirements
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications
- Maintain records and other documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance program and costing systems
- Implement new work procedures in pursuit of continuous improvement
About you
- A strong commitment to safety and the “I Know Safe, I choose Safe” principal.
- Must hold a Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Candidates from heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
- High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
- Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
- Sound computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work 24/7 roster
