About the business and the role
Pureharvest is a health food company located in Drouin, Victoria. We are looking for an experienced and qualified electrician to work closely with all personnel involved in maintaining plant and equipment.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Provide electrical support to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing plant and equipment.
- On a daily basis, ensure that all the electrical components of plant and equipment are working productively and interact completely and properly with any other part, ensuring compliance with all appropriate regulations and legislation
- Complete works associated with maintenance schedule of plant and equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in timely fashion
- Supervise all new electrical installations and modification of old to ensure compliance with all regulations and legislation.
- Maintain qualifications as A Class Electrician, Electrical Installer, and Assessor.
- Mentor any Apprentice Electricians employed by the Company.
- Fulltime afternoon shift (9 day fortnight)
Skills and experience
- Able to communicate with suppliers for purchases and product support.
- General computer skills.
- Basic PLC Programming and diagnostic skills and basic networking are essential. Sound knowledge of Allen Bradley and Omron PLC's preferred.
- Diagnostic expertise relay logic,AC Motor control,Pneumatic systems and hard wired electrical circuits is essential.
- Familiarity with conductivity and temperature measurement, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Familiar with small to medium size variable speed drives and servo motor controllers.
- Correctly read all procedures, production sheets etc, accurately and legibly record required details and be able to adequately explain to others.
- Familiarises him or herself with production equipment, so that he/she is competent to assist production and other maintenance staff in setting up equipment.
- Some supervisory experience preferred.
- Food Industry experience highly preferred but not essential.
