THE ROLE
This is an Afternoon shift Maintenance Electrician position, and the successful applicant must have comprehensive previous experience in a similar role. Reporting to Plant Services and Production Manager, you will manage all aspects of Electrical Maintenance in Manufacturing and Warehouse. You will be responsible for the timely and efficient Operation of 6 Pillows & Quilts production lines as well as one palletising robot.
Duties include:
• Contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Standardised Work Method Statements.
• Scope requirements for change management requests, identify solutions and action.
• Scope Electrical Project requirements as requested, install, test and commission.
• Ensure that plant assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures.
• Effectively plan all required maintenance tasks so that any associated downtime is at a minimum.
• Analyse breakdowns proactively and propose effective solutions.
• Identify regular faults & bottlenecks – propose programming improvements to improve outputs and reduce breakdowns.
Success Requirements:
• Grade A Electrical Trade qualification.
• Experience with basic PLC troubleshooting: Omron / Siemens / Allan-Bradley
• Experience with Robotic Automation / Sick Safety systems.
• Technical Trade aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent technical fault-finding abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure quick response to emergency breakdowns, reducing downtime.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Maintenance Team.
• Proficient in using Microsoft suite.
