Recent growth within the organisation has created an opportunity for a hard-working, reliable Electrician to join the team based in our Berkeley Vale location.
This position reports to the Workshop Manager and is an integral part of Janus. You will be working collaboratively with the Production team and are responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems in the Janus Electric Side Battery and Janus Charge & Change Station.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components.
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information.
- Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts.
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs.
Skills and Experience
- Completion of Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) as part of an apprenticeship is required.
- 3-5 years of electrical experience
- Excellent communicator
- Working knowledge of electrical theory and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
- Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to work overtime when required.
