Electrician

Our client who are passionate about producing premium quality poultry products with years of experience under the brands of Steggles and Lilydale Free Range have an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician to join the team.Reporting to Maintenance manager the primary responsibility of an Electrician is to install, maintain and repair all electrical installations as set by guidelines standards and regulations.Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing all electrical machinery in a safe and timely manner in line with the company Preventative maintenance strategy.
• Contribute to achieving the key performance Indicators as set by the department.
• Ensure all WHS strategies and procedures are adhered to. This includes all permit- and contractor management systems.
• Undertake safety checks on all processing equipment in line with the preventative maintenance
• On call for electrical breakdowns within the processing plant (ie. Heaters, air conditioners, generators, equipment, fans, motors, cool rooms, lighting, pumps, etc);
• Have the ability to identify and drive continues improvements initiatives.

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• Electrical trade qualification
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrate the ability to work in high pressure environment
• PLC and Instrument knowledge
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
