Essential Water services a population of approximately 18,000 people in the communities of Broken Hill, Menindee, Silverton and Sunset Strip. Essential Water delivers a high-quality secure water supply to around 10,500 customers and a reliable sewerage service to around 9,700 customers in Broken Hill. It also provides both chlorinated and raw water to customers in Menindee, Silverton and Sunset Strip and provides retail services for customers in the area we service. We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join our Essential Water team in Broken Hill. About the role As the Electrician, you will work within the dedicated electrical team, responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement works on all electrical, instrumentation and control assets within the business. Essential Water infrastructure includes pumping stations, water & sewage treatment plants, storage & reticulation systems, SCADA & telemetry networks. Experience & SkillsProven diagnostic, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.Sound knowledge and experience working with industrial electrical and electronic equipment including motors, variable speed drives, instrumentation, PLCs and SCADA systems.Knowledge of High and Low Voltage switching and LOTO practicesAbility to interpret electrical drawingsCapable of using basic computer software and mobile applications including asset and maintenance management systemsAbout You To be successful in this position you'll be flexible, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team environment.
