The Position
The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Officer will work with various engineering groups to design, build, install and assemble mechanical components for CEA products. You will be responsible for supporting a variety of exciting Phased Array Radar (PAR) project system builds within the Integration team. Forward thinking is a requirement to identify potential issues within the build or design. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate high standards of workmanship and take pride in their work. You will be a "tinkerer" who enjoys making things or a proactive problem solver who thinks beyond the square.
This role is responsible for:
- Designing and building mechanical components for engineering prototyping and testing.
- Assembling mechanical components for the system integration team.
- Resolving problems with mechanical fit of parts and take necessary corrective action.
- Interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings
Essential
- One of more years of experience in a production / manufacturing environment with adherence to strict quality standards.
- Wire harness looming experience
- Past trade experience - Mechanical, Auto-Electrical or similar
- Demonstrated mechanical assembly skills with the ability to interpret schematics.
- Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools with demonstrated skills in hand soldering..
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity including the ability to manipulate tools.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position you must be:
- An Australian Citizen
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - Negative Vetting 1
The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain a clearance prior to commencement.
