The Position

Our Electronic Assemblers - PCB solder products as per assembly packs in accordance with specified standards and quality systems. 

The role is responsible for:

  • Work in the PCB assembly area to assemble CEA PCB's using automatic and hand soldering techniques.
  • Rework PCB assemblies to IPC standards..
  • Build high quality products in accordance with specified standards and quality systems.
  • Inspect kits from stores and verify correct part before loading onto PCB
  • Clean and Inspect finished PCB assembly.
  • Solder PTH & SMT parts using a hand soldering iron.
  • Hand paste bare PCB's using a manual paste dispenser machine.
  • Operate within CEA's quality standards.
  • Follow IPC-A-610 as reference for soldering/assembly standards.
  • Follow IPC-7711/7721 as reference for Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Assembling prototype products under minimal supervision

Essential

  • Require excellent soldering and inspection skills in electronics assembly.
  • Have good mechanical assembly skills.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Be able to interpret drawings and assembly information provided by supervisor.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Motivation, enthusiasm and highly developed communication skills are critical to succeeding in this role.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position you must be:

  • An Australian Citizen
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - NV1.

The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain a clearance prior to commencement.
