Job purpose
The Electronics Engineer responsibilities include interpreting client briefs and providing cost and time estimates, testing systems and writing up improvement plans, developing electronic products, components, and systems to satisfy client needs, as well as creating instructional manuals. In addition, the Electronics Engineer is responsible to achieve the required quality standards by ensuring compliance to Contract Requirements, Local Regulations & Law, and International Codes & Standards. The Electronics Engineer is empowered to authorize executive decisions on behalf of the Engineering Manager.
Duties and responsibilities, but not limited to
-Designing, inspecting, testing and updating electronic systems, components, equipment and software.
-Supervise installation and commissioning of computer, communication and control systems, and ensuring proper control and protection methods.
-Establish and monitor performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance and repair of such systems.
-Liaise with engineers, other professionals, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications.
-Monitor processes, systems, and staff, and punctually identifying problems.
-Enhance the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and objectives, as well as targets and goals deriving from them, conforming to the purpose of the Organization.
-Ensure all equipment and products meet HSE regulations.
-Promote a process approach and risk-based thinking by ensuring the effective interaction between processes, with a systematic approach designed to achieve effective flow of inputs and outputs and co-operation in addressing risks and opportunities.
-Observe existing processes and make recommendations for improvement.
-Develop effective maintenance, testing and quality control procedures.
-Write specifications, instructions, reports and handling other required duties.
Academic or trade qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering
Work experience and skills
- 10 years experience
-Demonstrated experience in design, processes and process improvement.
-A keen interest in process efficiency and improvement.
-Self-resilient individual that can proactively seek solutions to problems.
-Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Time management skills.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
