We have an exciting opportunity here in Melbourne for a junior technician with either a mechanical or electronics/electrical background to help build next generation systems for the DoD.
Must have a current or reinstatable Defence clearance and willing to travel as required.
Location: Melbourne, Victoria 10 minutes from the CBD
Employment: Permanent full-time with benefits
Role: Technician
Role details:
- Assembly, test, fault finding and integration of mechanical and/or electronics systems for military use
- Support engineering services and technical reporting
- Technical documentation development and manage user manuals
- Integration of specialised communications, electrical and electro-mechanical systems onto larger platforms
- Wiring and harness installation
- Maintenance setup and project planning
What we require:
- Minimum certificate III in electrotechnology, communications, electrical or electro-mechanical systems
- Background in Defence or similar safety critical environments
- Ability to work in a pressured environment and adhere to MIL-STDs
- Previous or active defence clearance Baseline or above level; Australian Citizenship essential
- Collaborative attitude and willing to travel for work as needed to site locations
