Alliance College is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 1981, and it is one of the most experienced training providers in Australia. The institute delivers a variety of courses in ELICOS, Hospitality, Cookery, Business and Automotive to both local and international students.
About the role
We are looking for passionate ELICOS Teachers to join our growing Sydney team. The successful candidate would be responsible for delivering General English or English or EAP classes. You will be required to prepare and deliver high quality, dynamic lessons, and provide additional support to the impact the program.
As part of this role, you will be required to:
- Deliver ELICOS programs (EAP and General English) to International Student
- Overall academic leadership, ensuring outstanding quality of learning and teaching
- Carry out administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner, including but not restricted to recording attendance, providing written feedback on student assessment
- Address individual student needs and concerns both inside and outside the classroom
- Prepare, plan, and keep detailed and up-to-date records of each lesson and session
- Regularly reviewing learning and teaching outcomes, ensuring solid student progression and an excellent student experience
- Work collaboratively with the Student Support team
- Willingness and flexibility to teach across a range of courses, levels, and delivery modes
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development
- Ensuring academic delivery and resourcing meet and exceed customer expectations within budgetary constraints
- Ensuring regulatory compliance on a local level, with a solid understanding of regulatory and workplace requirements (including: ESOS Act, National Code 2018, ELICOS Standards 2018)
- Development of academic strategy and procedures and contribution to global curriculum and assessment renewal
About you;
- A degree, suitable postgraduate TESOL qualification/s
- Appropriate educational management and TESOL teaching experience or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-year ELICOS teaching experience at a recognised provider
- Leadership and management experience in quality English language institutions
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present student-centred lessons aligned with the course and learning outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of TESOL methodology, programs, curriculum design, and assessment practices
- Experience managing complex timetables and academic calendars
- Excellent student/classroom engagement.
- A warm, empathetic manner in dealing with students
- Demonstrated experience in leading compliance audits (desirable)

Salary
There is scope to negotiate salary and allocated working hours with the successful applicant. This will be based on the successful candidate's experience and the ability to complement and add to the skill set and to the team within the required areas.
