As the successful candidate, you will work across the entire lifecycle of a greenfield development project. You will have the opportunity to work not only with embedded software, but also Embedded Control Systems. This includes hardware/software architecture, implement most appropriate design processes, design with manufacturing at the forefront of your mind and troubleshoot any issues throughout.
This role would suit an experienced software engineer, with good experience with PLC and Control Systems using Simulink.
The Role:Embedded Control Systems Engineer - Simulink
Location: Eastern Suburbs, Perth (remote work not available)
Length: 12 Month Contract (Extension very likely)
Rate: $100 + super P/h
Key Skills:
- Bachelor of Software, Computer Science, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience developing software for real time systems industrial applications (Automotive, Subsea, Defence, Robotics, Space, Rail etc)
- Experience with PLC / Embedded Systems
- Demonstratable experience with Matlab/Simulink
- Control strategies such as PID, Fault detection and Sequence diagrams.
- Able to contribute across the full software development lifecycle
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within the Energy Management Space
- Knowledge of EN50128, EN61508 or equivalent standards.
