AddressSeitec is looking for a skilled and competent Embedded Software Engineer to help advance our seismic technology. Our tech is all about detecting and tracking targets of interest from bomb impacts through to footsteps. Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Fyshwick ACT
Type: Full-time
Salary: $110k to $140k + super (dependant on skill and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with our Senior Embedded Engineer to design and develop embedded systems.
- Firmware development.
- Conduct hardware testing and troubleshooting to ensure product functionality.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
- Work with a small team to ensure hardware is delivered and integrated in line with project timelines.
- Conduct research on new embedded technologies and suggest improvements to existing products.
- Document design specifications, testing procedures, and project progress.
- Support manufacturing teams with embedded hardware-related issues.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong communication skills and preference for working in a small close-knit team
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of hardware design and development including real time data processing, driver development, implementation of AI on the edge.
- 5+ years’ experience with firmware development.
- Ability to write low level drivers and familiar with programming on the metal.
- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) SPI, I2C, SD Card, UART, USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth.
- Comfortable with reading data sheets and implementing otherwise unfamiliar hardware.
- Desirable to have experience in digital, analogue, power, and basic RF PCB design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
