The Role
Our clients Embroidery team is currently made up of 2 team members where due to an increase in work orders, management has approved increasing the size of the Embroidery team to meet current and future demands.
The embroidery work is mainly embroidering company logos and names on work wear such as shirts, polos, trousers, overalls, jackets and hats. Operating a new 6 Head embroidery machine with additional commercial units on order, the main responsibilities of the role include;
- Pre-Start Checks on Machines – Visual & Manual Inspection & Oiling
- Work off job orders – clothing items, quantities, sizes & logo design
- Logo Set Up – Using networked computer to load logos design & size setting
- Hooping garments in exact place into Embroidery machines
- Monitoring machine while in operation
- Changing out thread spools, needle threading or needle replacement
- Quality Control on completed jobs ensuring finish & placement is to desired parameters
- Operating single commercial sewing machine to fix & alter embroidery work that did not pass QA
- Packing & boxing completed jobs
Working Days & Hours
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: Start 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM / Finnish - 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Location: Kewdale

The Candidate
We are seeking a candidate that has at least 3 months experience as an Embroiderer that has worked in commercial embroidery and possess the following experience.
- Embroidery Machine Pre-Start Checks
- Logo Transfer to embroidery machines via networked computers
- Hooping garments into embroidery machines ensuring placement is exact
- Monitoring units while in operation
- Quality Control ensuring every garment passes finish & placement
- Correcting embroidery that did pass QA on a single head sewing machine
- Spool change outs, needle threading & needle changeouts
In addition, we are seeking candidates that possess the following skills or attributes;

Remuneration
This is a Temp to Perm role where you will be employed by Staff-Net on a casual basis for 3 months where after the 3 months you will be signed over to our client on a Permanent Basis.
Please Note: Our client may consider employing experienced Embroiders directly onto their books, forgoing working through Staff-Net.
Pay Rates – Casual Working through Staff-Net
- $35.00 Per Hour + Super + OT
Pay Rates – Permanent working through Client
- $29.58 Per Hour + Super + OT + Leave Entitlements
