AddressEMC Technologies is the largest and most NATA accredited EMC, EMR and Safety testing laboratory in Australia and New Zealand. We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to perform EMC and EMR/RF testing.
This interesting work involves testing to Australian and international EMC/RF standards using sophisticated instruments and facilities. New and imported products are tested for compliance with Australian and international regulations such as RCM, CE marking and FCC rules using spectrum analysers, EMI receivers, RF amplifiers, specialist EMC test equipment, and anechoic chambers. Most work including RF testing and calibration is carried out in accordance with NATA accreditation to ISO 17025 (Testing and calibration). You will be working with customers to test their products and their new designs so that compliance is achieved.
A knowledge and experience of RF and electromagnetic theory and testing will give you an advantage.
The person we are seeking will have:
- Relevant experience in EMC and/or tertiary qualification in Electronics and Communications.
- A self motivated professional approach with a high level of commitment to customer focus and an ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to work as part of the EMCT team and to work alone when required.
- A good command of English, written and oral.
- The ability to prepare and assess detailed technical reports
- A strong customer focus and the ability to work and liaise closely with customers on a continual basis
- A good eye for detail and the ability to adhere to detailed test and review procedures
Desirables
- The ability to use test instrumentation including but not limited to spectrum analysers, EMI Receivers, CROs and other RF test equipment
- A knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, NATA Rules and/or quality procedures.
- A knowledge of EMC standards and regulations such as ACMA, CE, FCC, & VCCI
To ensure that EMCT provides the highest possible standard of professional services, EMCT trains staff through regular internal training courses and courses conducted through academic institutions, commercially operated courses or overseas training courses and seminars as appropriate for the position.
Salary and Snr positions are negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. We are also open to offer trainee positions.
