What you'll be doing
To provide a high level of administration, communication and professional frontline support to Westmead Hospital Emergency Department.
Responsible to the Emergency Department Director through the Emergency Department Clerical Manager for the completion of clerical procedures relating to the registration and admission of patients through the Emergency Department and for the provision of communication support to the Emergency Department whilst working 24/7 rotating roster including working weekends and public holidays.

Selection Criteria * Demonstrated extensive exceptional front-line customer service skills in a medical or hospital environment with ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and data entry skills with the knowledge and use of IT applications including Microsoft Office and hospital based information systems (iPM, FirstNet, Cerner, Powerchart).
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, high level verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to work as an effective and efficient team member demonstrating initiative, judgement and contributing positively to team operations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and actively participate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
