Form of workThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Emergency Department (ED) Team as a Trainee Medical Officer or Senior Medical Practitioner.
Just 40 minutes from Adelaide CBD, the Emergency Department provides essential services for the Gawler and Barossa communities and the fast-growing population of North Adelaide.
Led by a supportive team of ED Consultants, Nurses the Unit has evolved and grown.
This busy ED department oversees 25,000 patients per year, and as an Emergency Doctor joining the team, you will experience the full scope of emergency presentations and medical techniques. You will be supported in procedural sedation, airway management and ventilation, fracture reduction, complex laceration repair and invasive diagnostic techniques. You will also have research, mentorship and learning opportunities including regular weekly training sessions for TMOs.
Required:
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated competency in a range of routine and common emergency procedural skills
- The abiliity to work under pressure
- Unwaivering patient care
- Work successfully in a multi-displined yeam
- Skilled promblem solver and decsion maker both on a clinical and idvidual level
There are also opportunities for suitable doctors to spend 20 per cent of their time in one of the following specialties:
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Anaesthetics
- Orthopaedics Fracture Clinics
- General Paediatrics
- Geriatrics
- General Medicine
