SA Health are seeking medical practitioners who have experience in an Emergency Medicine in Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent setting for positions available across various metropolitan Local Health Networks in South Australia.
Applications to join a candidate pool are encouraged from candidates who:
- Have completed, or are enrolled with, the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (or equivalent); or
- Are undertaking an alternative training pathway but can demonstrate suitable Emergency Medicine experience.
Rotations may be possible for those seeking experience across a broad spectrum of Emergency Medicine settings, however will be subject to availability and negotiation.

About the role:
Medical practitioners are well supported by consultant medical staff at all sites, with consultants on call and easily and willingly available to support Registrars.
As the Emergency Medicine Registrar, you will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Emergency Department patients. You will engage as part of a high performing multi-disciplinary team who prides themselves on teamwork, communication and excellence in Emergency Care.
You will work alongside a wide range of highly regarded Fellows of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine/Paediatric Medicine who have a depth of expertise in Trauma, Paediatrics, Research, Wellbeing, Leadership and Training.
The term of contract will be 3 years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement.

Special Conditions
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- For Senior Registrars, having obtained a specialist qualification and being registrable with the Medical Board of South Australia.
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
- Demonstrated participation in approved continuing medical education.
- Clinical experience relevant to work in an ED.
- Excellent Teamwork and Communication skills.
