Our reach has expanded to encompass a one-stop-shop model with Paramedics, Registered Nurses, ESO’s, Security and Medical Consultants, providing a wide range of on-site and outreach healthcare and safety services.
The role
We have exciting opportunities for ESO’s to join our team of Advanced Care Paramedics and Emergency Services Officers in Queensland’s coal mining industry.
In this role, you will provide high-level emergency rescue services and assist our Advanced Care Paramedics with pre-hospital emergency care.
A typical shift may see you dealing with a wide variety of emergency presentations as well as undertaking the usual Emergency Services administrative tasks as required.
What you'll need to be successful
Mandatory Requirements:
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
- Manual Driver’s Licence with Medium Rigid Class
- Current LVR, CPR, Advanced First Aid & Resuscitation certifications
- Computer literate – e.g., MS Office Suite
- Experience working in a State or Territory Fire Service (desirable)
Working on a coal mine in Queensland requires pre-requisite training and an industry specific health assessment.
Pre-requisite Training Requirements:
- Coal Board Medical (Rescue)
- Drug and Alcohol Testing Certification
- Standard 11 Certification
Successful applicants will demonstrate a reasonable level of fitness, a presentable appearance, be goal-oriented, have a strong work ethic with a patient-centered approach as well as the ability to work autonomously.
