THE ROLE
Applications are sought for the role of Emergency Services Officer to join this exciting new operation at Ora Banda Mining. 
This will be a multifaceted role to provide administration support to the management team, and to act as the onsite medic and provide leadership and direction to the Emergency Response Team. 

The responsibilities of this role will include:

• Provide medical treatment as defined by treatment protocols and maintain confidential medical records (for site-based personnel).
• Maintain the medical clinic facilities, remote first aid rooms, ambulance, and equipment
• Complete Drug and alcohol testing as per Australian standards and company procedures
• Emergency response preparedness, including delivery of emergency response training and inspections.
• Participate in investigations and follow up on the outcomes for all OHSE related matters.
• Conduct safety meetings, including the promotion of a strong safety culture and focused training outcomes.
• Administration support including but not limited to INX.
• Monitor the OHS compliance register to ensure that items are actioned in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Aircraft Reporting Officer (ARO) duties as required.
• Any other reasonable duties as directed by the HSE Manager / Superintendent and Underground Mine Manager 

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:  

• Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Care (minimum) or higher medical treatment qualifications. (Mandatory)
• Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (highly desirable)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable)
• Be conversant with and have an understanding of the obligation of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and accompanying regulations.
• Have a WA Class "C" manual driver's licence.
• High level administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office 360 applications
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, solutions focused attitude.
