About the Clinic
Animal Emergency Service (AES) Tanawha is a 24/7 ECC hospital located in the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We have a collaborative approach to both patient and client care with highly skilled, progressive and supportive teams. There are approximately 52 team members across our Veterinary, Nursing and Client care departments. Team Tanawha have a highly regarded reputation built on trust within our local Veterinary community.

About the Role
As an emergency vet nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. Experience exciting case diversity such as GDVs, impalements, hit by cars and in summer ticks, toads and snakes. Our nurses also have access to trained Mental Health First Aid Officers, our wellbeing hub and an Employee Assistance Program for support on a range of matters.

About You
  • Minimum of 1-year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
  • Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and team-work skills
  • Love of learning and continual improvement
  • Personal mode of transport (essential for shift work)
  • Flexibility to work casual shifts in a 24/7 hospital
