Introducing Our New Service: 

EmployAbility: Finding & Keeping A Job
Delegate Support Services is thrilled to announce the launch of our newest service under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS): Finding & Keeping A Job. This innovative service is designed to support individuals with disabilities in securing and maintaining meaningful employment, aligning perfectly with our mission to empower and enhance the lives of those we serve.

About the Service:
Finding & Keeping A Job is tailored to assist NDIS participants with the entire employment process—from identifying suitable job opportunities to ensuring long-term success in their roles. Our approach is holistic and participant-centered, focusing on both the needs and aspirations of each individual.

We Are Hiring:

ROLE 1: EmployAbility: Engagement Facilitator: You'll play a pivotal role in facilitating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to identify job vacancies, engage with potential employers, and ensure that participants are matched with meaningful employment opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Community Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with local businesses to identify employment opportunities for our participants.
Employer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, explaining the benefits and supports our organisation can provide.
Participant Support: Assist participants in preparing for employment, including resume preparation and interview skills.
Event Planning: Organise job fairs and employment workshops tailored to the needs of our participants.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators related to job vacancies, employment matches, and participant employment success.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Required: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in disability employment services, social work, disability support services, or related fields. Drivers License, NDIS Workers Screening & Blue Card. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. High level of administrative competence and proficiency in relevant computer applications. Must be empathetic, non-judgmental, and possess a strong customer focus.
Desirable: Strong understanding of the local employment market and the ability to identify potential job opportunities for participants.
Knowledge of NDIS framework, legislation, and procedures.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to organise and coordinate events, and knowledge of the disability sector and employment services.

ROLE 2: EmployAbility: Workshop Facilitator: you will be integral in delivering workshops that equip individuals with disabilities with the necessary skills and knowledge for employment. Your main role will be to design, coordinate, and conduct workshops that are both engaging and beneficial, addressing the specific needs of our participants.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Workshop Design and Delivery: Develop and facilitate engaging workshops focusing on employment readiness, resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
Participant Engagement: Interact with participants to assess their needs and customise workshop content to enhance their learning and development.
Collaboration with Employers: Partner with local employers to create workshops that reflect current job market demands and expectations.
Feedback and Improvement: Collect feedback from both participants and employers to continually enhance the workshop's effectiveness.
Resource Development: Create and maintain up-to-date resources that support the learning objectives of the workshops.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Required: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in education, human resources, social work, disability employment services, or related fields. Must possess strong presentation and facilitation skills, excellent planning and organisational skills, and a deep understanding of the disability sector and employment challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
Desirable: Experience in designing educational content and resources is highly regarded.

ROLE 3: EmployAbility: Employment Mentors: Your primary focus will be to support participants in finding, securing, and retaining employment. You will offer tailored guidance and mentorship, ensuring participants are well-prepared and supported as they transition into and sustain their employment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Job Readiness Training: Aid participants in developing essential job-seeking skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and effective job searching techniques.
On-the-Job Support: Offer continuous support to participants in their new roles, aiding them in adapting to and thriving within their work environments.
Mentorship and Guidance: Serve as a mentor, providing advice, support, and encouragement to boost participants’ professional growth and confidence.
Employer Liaison: Collaborate closely with employers to foster inclusive and supportive workplaces for our participants.
Performance Monitoring & Case Management: Regularly evaluate and report on participants' progress, tailoring support strategies as necessary to help them meet their employment objectives.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Required: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in human resources, psychology, social work, disability employment services, or related fields. Strong understanding of employment challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
Desirable: Experience in coaching, mentoring, or support work, particularly within the disability sector.
