About The Role
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to our mission by delivering the innovative Customised Employment model. This role focuses on supporting people with disabilities to build their capacity in finding and sustaining meaningful employment or study options.
**Key Responsibilities:**
·Supporting and understanding individual needs of persons with disability to best understand their employment needs.
·Guide and support job seekers in achieving their employment goals.
· Identify and facilitate an optimal fit between the job seeker, the employer, job tasks, and the supporting environment.
· Deliver the Customised Employment (CE) model across the four phases: discovery, job planning, job development and negotiation, post-employment support to a caseload of job seekers.
·Assist participants to explore what work would mean for them.
·Work with participants to engage them in building essential foundation skills for work.
·Manage complex barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment.
·Work with participants and prospective employers and industry specialists to develop career plans, conduct informational interviews and Job analysis plans.
· Embrace different perspectives and explore alternative approaches.
·Manage a caseload of amazing individuals and watch them grow and achieve their dreams.
**About You**
We are looking for someone with:
· Previous experience in Employment Services, working with people with disabilities, or lived experience in assisting people into employment or vocational pathways.
· Knowledge within the Disability Employment Services Sector, NDIS Sector, specifically Employment-related supports.
· Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders for the best outcomes for job seekers with disabilities.
·An outside the box creative thinker.
· Passion for supporting and building the capacity of others.
· Experience or passion about person-centered approaches.
· High level of problem-solving and negotiation skills.
· Excellent time management and communication skills.
· Competency in using computers and various software applications such as microsoft office, technology, and the ability to learn new systems.
