Operations Support Officer - 8/6 Roster - Port Hedland Based

Category 5 Labour Management are a locally owned and operated labour hire business, supplying trades and maintenance personnel to various industries within Port Hedland and also surrounding areas

The Operations Support Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of operational processes within the company. They are responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to various departments, aiding in the coordination of day-to-day operations and recruitment support while contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the business. The intention of the 8/6 Roster is to provide maximum coverage 7 days a week and to ensure all operational requirements are met during this time.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• End to end Recruitment , focusing on building the local Cat 5 talent pool through utilisation of our existing database to source and recruit candidate - including screening, onboarding, creating candidate submissions , mobilisation requests and sending out placement details.
• Candidate management - maintaining regular contact with candidates through phone calls, site visits and maintaining profiles on our database
• Resource Coordination including planning & logistics e.g. coordinating travel with the internal travel team, organising transport to and from worksites and any ad hoc requests as required
• Coordination of resourcing during shut periods including airport meet and greets, onboarding, transporting candidates, organising training, PPE, attending prestart meetings.
• HSE and Injury Management Support 
• Health screening e.g. drug and alcohol screening and EAR fit testing
• Providing weekend coverage and actioning any requests that come through 
• Adhoc "Peggy" duties as required 

Essential:

• Must be residential to Port Hedland - this is not a FIFO position 
• Must have Administration experience in a similar role with high attention to detail and great communication skills
• Must enjoy a fast paced evolving environment
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office software
• Must be proactive and flexible
• Mine site experience desirable 
• Full clean driving license and ability to travel while on shift
