Program Coordinator – School Based Education Support 

Vocational Education and Training 

Based on the Fremantle Campus

What is VET at UNDA?

The University of Notre Dame Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers a number of Vocational Education and Training courses (VET) at its Broome, Fremantle and Sydney Campus’s including Education and Nursing. Vocational Education Training (VET) at Notre Dame is dedicated to providing exceptional outcomes to students and industry partners. We aim to be the conduit to Higher Education by providing the platform to help all students succeed in education and work, to make a career change or as a pathway into higher education through the UNDA registered Training Organisation (RTO). 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and be responsible for coordinating and providing support and advice on the development, implementation delivery and evaluation of School Based Education Support - Vocational Education Training (VET) programs.
  • Coach and mentor a team and undertake the performance and development reviews to promote a highly engaged, positive and effective workplace culture.
  • Work closely and communicate with university leadership and colleagues withinthe VET space and build effective relationships with various university businessareas.
  • Manage administrative matters relating to operational and strategic planning, governance, budgeting, reporting, resource management and workforce planning.
  • Deliver teaching and conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions and clinical sessions, including associated marking and assessments.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant degree and experience in School Based Education Support; Education Support, program delivery and/or and project management.
  • A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be willing to complete as part of their employment.
  • Experience working within the current standards of registered training organisations (RTO’s).
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training needs analysis, design capability frameworks and develop training programs within a university or tertiary environment would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver papers, reports, presentations, and proposals for all levels of an organisation.
  •  Experience managing and leading teams.
