Employment Lawyer - Quasi In-House Role

A WA organisation has exclusively briefed Lawmee to secure an energetic and commercially minded employment/industrial relations consultant to join their team on a short-term basis for up to 3 months.  

 Are you Looking for a break from law firm life? Or are you someone with a background in employment law/IR looking to step into a unique and challenging role? You will provide high-level support and advice across IR/HR matters whilst actively contributing to the development and implementation of ER strategies. 

Drawing on your experience in employment law and/or industrial relations, you will work closely with the leadership team, in-house legal counsel, and other key stakeholders to: 

• Draft and review policies and procedures for clients. 
• Lead enterprise agreement negotiations on behalf of clients.  
• Represent clients at mediation/conciliation/conference in matters within relevant industrial tribunals.  
• Prepare industrial claim responses and prospects advice. 
• Negotiate settlements and draft deeds of settlement. 
• Advise legal counsel.  
• Draft ER Alerts.  
• Develop and present face-to-face training and webinars to clients and leaders on ER matters.  
• Maintain record-keeping requirements.  

We would like to speak with candidates who are looking to make a move in-house. You will have experience in a workplace relations role. You will be proactive and manage competing priorities to optimise engagement with key stakeholders.
